November 11, 2006 This was the first opportunity for the NPTA to meet Superfoot. Excitement was running high for several weeks leading up to the seminar, from Master Perry down to the kids. A huge surprise was thrown into testing Friday evening the 10th, when Master Wallace walked in with the judges. However, everyone focused, overcame the jitters, and had a great test. Saturday was a fantastic day for everyone---Master Wallace ran an excellent seminar, keeping the information flowing. His style of teaching made sure everyone got plent of practice, learned how and why we were doing things, and got to see him demonstrate the techniques several times. Of course, we all enjoyed every time Superfoot showed off his legendary speed! Even more impressive was Master Wallace's attitude---completely approachable, down to earth, and full of fun---it made the weekend a wonderful experience for all of us. It was very cool to be able to ask any questions that popped into our heads, and have every one of them answered. Also cool was the opportunity for pictures and autographs--although Superfoot was worse than any of the kids about clowning for the camera! What a wonderful weekend---the NPTA is extremely grateful to Master Wallace for his time and expertise. |
